Freight Explained

Understanding Freight Shipping

Most people have never received freight delivery - here's what to expect

What is a Pallet?

A pallet is a flat wooden platform (usually 48" x 40") that your gym equipment sits on. The equipment is strapped to the pallet so it can be easily moved with a forklift or pallet jack.

Your equipment arrives on 1-4 pallets depending on size. Small items (single bike) = 1 pallet. Large packages = multiple pallets.

Important: You'll need a forklift, pallet jack, or 2-3 people to unload pallets from the truck!

What is Curbside Delivery?

Curbside delivery means the freight driver will bring your palletized equipment to the back of the truck and lower it to the ground using a lift gate.

The driver does NOT:

  • Bring items inside your building
  • Unpack or unwrap equipment
  • Assemble anything
  • Move pallets from curb/driveway
You are responsible for: Moving pallets from curb into your space and unwrapping equipment.

How to Unload Your Shipment

Option 1: Equipment You Need

  • Pallet jack (rent from Home Depot for $30/day)
  • Utility knife to cut straps/wrap
  • 2-3 people to help move items

Option 2: Hire Help

Hire local movers for $150-300 to unload and move equipment inside. We can recommend services in your area.

Inspecting Your Delivery

CRITICAL: Always inspect your shipment BEFORE signing the Bill of Lading!

Check for:

  • Damaged pallets or torn wrapping
  • Cracked/dented covers
  • Missing pieces (count all boxes)

If damage found: Note it on the BOL (Bill of Lading) and take photos immediately. Contact us within 24 hours.

Once your order ships, we'll email you a PRO number (tracking number) and carrier website. You can track your shipment in real-time to see estimated delivery date and current location.
Where is my order shipping from?
Most orders ship from our New York warehouse. Some new equipment may ship directly from the manufacturer. A 360 Fitness Solutions representative will notify you of the shipment location and estimated delivery date.
Can I schedule a specific delivery day?
Freight carriers call 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule. While you can't pick an exact day, you can coordinate with the carrier for a convenient time window within their schedule.
What if I'm not home for delivery?
You can authorize the driver to leave the shipment at your location without a signature, or reschedule delivery for another day. Discuss this with the carrier when they call to schedule.
